Term 3/4
What makes a Healthy lifestyle?
Lesson 1 Children work in groups to brainstorm what makes a healthy lifestyle. Spokesperson from each group adds ideas to class chart. Have we forgotten anything? Children make a poster "Living a Healthy Lifestyle." Lesson 2 What does healthy eating mean? What are sometimes food? What should we eat each day? What should we try and have in our lunch boxes? Why are the food groups placed in a pyramid?
How many items can you name from each group? Children in five groups are given a food group to study. Each group will share their information with the whole class. Using what we have found out design a meal plan for one day making sure you have the correct portions for each group. |
